This class includes temporary visitors
for business. Duration may be up to one year initially, but
usually less. Up to six month extension may be granted. Most
aliens come to the US as visitors. These visitors are further
classified as vistors for pleasure
or visitors for business.
Visitors of business are allowed
a range of activities. The visitor for business needs to prove
the intension to return to a home abroad and to not have immigrant
intent. Needs to establish sufficient financial resources
and the intention not to engage in prohibited activies such
as work for pay for an employer in the US
The status is appropriate for legitimate activities of a commercial or professional nature. The Alien should be paid from a source abroad for services primarily benefiting a foreign employer.
